Sounds like you had a great time, Helen. And the next time you plug a Tess McKenna gig somewhere in Brunswick of Fitzroy again, I'm going to try to go along.

I like the Band Who Knew Too Much too - they were busking out the Queen Vic for a bit last year. Bought they're latest CD from them then. but I reckon they sound much better live than produced, studio-fied and on CD.

Thanks for the link to the Robert Plan and Alison Krauss album. It is great! And these aren't just 1 minute samples! Who allows you to listen to the whole album online these days? They must really love what they'd been doing.

Sounds like you did too.

Yes FX. I mean why pick on someone cos they've got a hired trailer??

On a holiday weekend!

I love those surreal comments like one guy blurted out to me on Fitzroy st st Kilda one night: "Who do you think you are, Irene Bolger!!!1!1!"

Irene Bolger being el presidente of the Nurses' union at the time. I have never had anything to do with nursing in the slightest.

WTF?

Actually I reckon that trailer comment was funny. Naturally it would have been improved without the use of a misogynist expletive.

'What does “Buy your own fucking trailer, ya cunts!” mean? These people are a mystery.'

... no mystery. Just a few blokes on their way to the convention of out-of-work trailer sales people. They are very sensitive.
